low end tq/hp

What fairly cheap and easy mods could i do to improve my low end torque and hp with the mods i have listed below? Also, could the air filter be hurting me in the low end, because i went to the tracks and pulled a 2.1 sec 60 ft (although it was with snow tires).

Any turbocharged car could benefit from freer breathing. A bigger diameter downpipe, cat/testpipe, and catback will help. Eventually, Cams are a good investment. If you want mid-range performance, then go with 264s.

I would say that the EMS or any Piggyback that can control ign timing will do you wonders. The stock ECU feels like it uses pretty low timing to help spool up at low RPM. You could probably dial it in better buy adjusting this. Also alot of people have done tests and found that the 2.5 or 2.75 in downpipe and exhaust seems to make more torque. Do some searches for more info but I have seen a few threads about it.

i had my mind set on a new exhaust, but i have 2 tickets on my record now, and cops already give me a hard time with the car, so my parents dont want me to get the exhaust. A pigyback is a little out of my price range right now too. Any other suggestions?

with out exhaust on the car, you mods are limited to stickers and neons. not having the exhaust replaced will keep you from being able to put much if any mods at all on it. intake and exhaust are the easiest and cheapes performance mods a person can make, it is also the most important

A manual boost controler might help alittle bit. You can usually achieve boost quicker with them and they are used by several people. You might research them a bit. Probably looking at 100-150 price wise. Just a thought.

thats kinda what i figured.....now the real question-- do i go behind my parents back and get the exhaust and not tell them, or do i wait a few months and ask them again?

get it now, because with out it, you are just holding the engine back, boost controller or not, with you upgrading the exhaust, you are just spinning your wheels tring to make the car go faster

Get an exhaust First. Without it, as you put more and more mods in, you'll see huge gains on a dyno but minimal gains on the road.
