clutch install
I was at the drag strip today and after a couple of runs i noticed my clutch was slipping. Now, i can drop the clutch in 4th gear at a stand still and the car will not stall.....i think its time for a new clutch. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a good clutch that is good for both daily driving and for the drag strip. Also, how much does the installation of a new clutch cost? Thanks!

Many other threads out there. Word of warning: Don't practice that 4th gear test very often. It is very hard on the clutch parts. You will definitely shorten the clutch life.

I think the average is around $400 if you search. My dealer quoted me $700 labor (I was lucky to have them do mine at no labor) . There have been some done by members here but it is not a job for the inexperienced.
You will find the ACT is very popular around here and rightfully so, I am happy with mine. It is certainly an excellent street set up and will hold most of what the stock turbo can produce.
