OK, this is off topic but oh well. Before getting a tune i need to throw these cams in. I tried 2 mitsu dealers looking 4 part# MD998738. This is the mitsu timing belt tool. I NEED one. Anyone know of a vendor that sells them or anyone have an extra tey could sell? Help me out. THANKS.

Just called AMS, they dont sell them anymore. Any other place? Itried DSMotorsport yesterday and they can no longer get yhe mitsu 1 either.

Miller tool has them, they are cheaper than AMS as well. Just call them and ask for that part number and get it shipped to you.

 

We just had them made, they will be heat treated within the week so give us a call back if you're still interested,
Out of curiosity what does Miller sell them for?

 

I couldnt find 1 through miller. But otctool sells them for like 9 bucks. About 15 shipped. Thats a sweet deal if u ask me. What do u guys get for 1?

 

I believe miller is about the save price. That is were I bought mine from. I had to call miller tool and speak to a service rep to find the tool and because I wasn't a shop but they was happy to find it for me.

 

I would wait for AMS to buy these. Getting it (for me anyways) was a huge hassle from Miller tools/SPX tools. They told me i couldn't get the 9 dollar price and had to go through a distributor. I ended up paying 35 dollars for the exact one they charge 9 for and i can almost garauntee the AMS is gonna be better. Secondly, living in an area like I do no one knew what it was, i had to hijack the keyboard at Advance Auto (after searching ALL the advance, autozone, Napa, carquest, specialtly etc shops in Wilm for 6 hour) and putting in part number 6001 to find it. So please...wait for AMS.
