nice, i like the gold block paint, it actually looks sharp against the red valve cover.

 

We paint all of our engine blocks gold. Its kind of a trademark, though this is the first mitsu block for us to paint. Our gold h22a engine (completely stock internals, head, head gasket, everything) makes 486whp so we hope to make 700+ out of this one. No, thats not me in the picture. Thats our engine builder Dennis who has been doing engines for 30+ years now. He also cleaned up my head for this project and flowbenched it to make it all perfect. The rotating assembly is balanced to within .1 gram and every tolerance and spec possible is damn near perfect. Just turning the motor during the timing belt install shows how stout the engine is and I can't wait to make these hks 280s really sing.
