Thumbs up RnR installed my CarbonTi TBE!

Well, I just got back from my long trip to San Diego. The exhaust install went without a hitch and the fitting is perfect. No rattles, and no leaks. The exhaust has great craftsmenship! I love the Carbon Ti muffler. It has a low drone tone at idle and only gets explosive under hard boost.

Car needs retuning though. I'm headed to Vishnu this weekend for a full tune.

Just wanted to give props to RnR for the great workl!

Cheers,

-M

PS. Ryan, I need a copy of that work order. I forgot to ask for one. You can mail it to me or send it via email. Please PM me if you can.

Glad you are so happy with the system. Everyone that comes out of here is so happy with our version 2 turbo back. Glad we could put a smile on your face.

We need some pics and sound clips.

u know the pipe where slip fit is needed? i didnt know it was slip type. cause the diameter of those two pipes seemed to be same , i try to put it in, and just could'nt...
so the muffler tip sticks out way too much,.,....
i guess u have to force it in hard with using hammer or something...
it would have been better if they send me an instruction with the exhaust for guy like me who dont konw nothing.....
kinda had a problem there.....but it was beautiful product...

Perhaps your pipes weren't machined correctly. When they put my exhaust on, it slipped in fine. They didn't have to hammer anything.

There is a slip fit from the cat-back pipes to the muffler pipe. It is the only slip fit.

Get the Carbon Ti if you can find it.. It rocks!

ARe you talking about the new exhaust thats on the RNR website?

RNR 3" SS straight piping to the HKS Carbon-TI muffler?

I"m looking to get that this coming week.

Quick question. Does the muffler mount at an angle (like how it does from HKS) or does it mount straight?

Well it depends. Here are the parts:

$300 - Downpipe
$110 - High-flo cat
$400 - Cat-back
$240 - Carbon Ti.
$100 - install

$1150 - Total..

It cost me a bit more because I had to buy the Carbon Ti from some other vendor since everyone was sold out of it. It cost me $340 alone. And they charged me $50 extra to weld it on the cat-back. So for me it was $1300.

Im saving $$$ for this exhaust right now. I need word on if it fits the MR.

Would also like sound clips with and without the test pipe.................

Also you say that the catback section is slip fit and the rest flanged.....well how about if you add their HF cat with the turboback......does that become another slip fit joint or is that flanged allowing me to move a test pipe/ hf cat in and out at will...............and will it go in and out via flanges or slip fit.

Thanks!

I have the hiflo cat. Everything is flanged except the one slip fit part in the catback.

I remember RnR posting on a different thread that the version 2 was designed ON an MR....so it will fit all 05's as well as 03/04.

I believe the HF cat/straight pipe is flanged at either end. from what I undertand the only slip fit is halfway down the catback.
