My evo is at the dealership. i had a act installed there about 2k ago and basically i ripped first gear out. I dunno if the clutch wasnt isntalled right or i did it myself or w/e but i dropped it off at the dealership 3 weeks ago coming monday. 3 weeks!!! They said that they are going to replace first gear and all under warrenty witch is good and im lucky but still 3 weeks and no work done at all! Ive called and complained that its taking forever and they said there getting a part but im about to blow up at the dealership. So you guys think this is crazy or what.

 

You are getting warranty work done with an aftermarket clutch which is a big help already but 3 weeks is a bit long. I would go up the chain and talk to someone higher up.

 

Took the dealership 4 days to Replace 3rd, 4th, 5th & Rev gears and synchro's and they had to ordered 4th and Rev cause they werent expecting them to be bad too. Id be a lil upset at 3 weeks also!!

 

yea it only took them a day to put in the clutch i dunno

 

Yeah, Mitsu service really has me worried if something should ever happen to my car, god forbid. I've only had it since Valentines' Day 05, but so far it took them 4 weeks to order a new intake box lid for my car. (One of the clips was broken when I purchased the car). As far as something major like the transmission, your story, however upsetting it is, does not surprise me at all. Just hope they fix the problem the first time. Good luck.

 

3 weeks seems like a long time, but be thankful that is covering it. I went in for an alignment issue, and they saw my exhaust.... Long story short, they told me my drivetrain warranty is gone, adios, bye bye.

 

Going on week 4 today.........

 

Welp on the 5 week mark i got my car just thought i would give you guys a update. My tranny is whineing louder than when i took it there......

 

Take it back, and tell them you want a rental!

 

Are you sure its the tranny whinning? Usually the TC makes the whinning when its blown. God knows if they put the wrong fluid in the TC when they had to put it back Take the car back to the dealer and request to speak to a fact rep or the service manager. Or open a case with mitsu

 

This is the only thing I HATE about my car.

 

When i took it up i talked to the head service people. They wanted to be gay and say i had n2o because i had my co2 sprayer bottle behide the seat. Anyways it whines loud in first gear when starting out.

 

damn man where did you take it? I know Lester Raines in South Charleston has done some clutch installs but I'm not sure how long... I do know that Buschur can do this in a matter of hours

 

Mistu service sucks, but it's not as bad as Mercedes... if you don't drive an AMG, **** you...

 

n20 blows up engine, not transfer case.
