porting the head...got question

Can someone tell me what benefits I can get if I port the head? I want to have a built top end motor with 1mm oversized vavles.

A ported and polished head will give u better flow, a detanation free surface, and overall better performance. You should definitely look into porting and polishing ur cylinder heads if your building up your motor. I think its pretty expensive, but if u can afford it, by all means do it.

Its hard to say an exact number, but i would guess at least 10-20 HP. It depends more of what kind of mods u have.....im sure u could gain even more HP, but i cant say for sure. Maybe ask some vendors who offer this service what kind of gains they see. Hope this helps!
