hey guys i really need some help..

hey...here are the mods im planning to do to my car...

Hks Rs intake
Greddy type -s bov recirculating
Full Turbo back HKS Hi- power exhaust

The question i have is...i know i'll have to do some tuning with my car to make it run with no problems....but where can i go to tune it? can i go back to the dealer?
and also...what is a down pipe for or a cat back? down pipe + cat back = full turbo back? or what? and what is it used for? And im planning to start with getting an hks rs intake first...then maybe a full turbo back exhaust...will i need a tune? and do i need anything to else to control these? or anything? any help would be great..

you can tune your car anywhere with a dyno but you need something to tune your car with either a stand alone or a flash or even a fuel piggy back. THere's a zillion choices out there and everyone has their own opinions about what works. Turboback equals DP+testpipe/hi-flow cat+catback.

You will get all the answers you need with them. Great customer service, parts, service, and support.

Forget about the dealership. Your car becomes a bastard the second you mod anything.

Contact a local tuning shop that has a good reputation with the EVO. They will keep you on the right path. Take posts on the boards as what they are, statements from unknowns!

2.5 is best if your looking to slightly modify your evo, 3 is best if your going to be shooting for high hp.

The downpipe debate is neverending. Search around and read what the arguements are before you decide. Most believe 3" is the best way to go regardless because it is a turbo car. If you are going aftermarket exhaust turbo back then 3" all the way. If you are not going to put a high flow cat on then you might as well stick with 2.5
You never want to go from bigger to smaller in pipe diameter from the front to the back. You want to stay the same of get bigger.
