ams turbo kit ?s

Anyone on here have an ams turbo kit on their Evos? If so what turbo, engine management, and power are you running? Also how much did it cost for everything including upgraded clutch and engine management?

I plan on getting one soon. I've heard nothing but great things about them. FWIW, I've also heard a few other vendors say the best kit to buy is the AMS kit. They said the quality and performance were both unmatched.

^^ but with the AMS kit, u get what u pay for. I know for a fact that AMS sells real high quality stuff. I dont have one of their turbo kit, but i know one of the head techs at the shop and ive seen their stuff. Trust me, forget the ATP and go for AMS.......its worth the extra $$$. Just my 2 cents.

I've spent a boat load, and havent looked back once. You CANNOT go wrong with this kit.

I could go on and on.. So if you have any specific questions let me know.

We'll see very soon if the "unmatched performance" part of your statement is true!

I got an AMS GT3076R turbo kit.
with lot of other goodies.

1- Low compression piston and rods
2-HKS 272/272 and cam gear
3-780cc AMS injectors

Then all the normal stuff like exhaust , air intake and you know the rest.

I'm using Motec M800 ECU which I had before getting the kit.
My car is still in the brake in period because it's a rebuild engine.. My prediction or let say I would be a happy guy if I could get it to 400hp with a high tourque number.

Ohh and yeah AMS kit is expensive but belive me it is worth every $ you spend..

Can't say nearly enough about AMS all I can say is I'm a life long customer and they treated me like an old friend from day 1 and their products are top notch. I mean there are things on their shelves that I would use as sculptures on a mantel and that if you weren't a car person you would not even know it was a car part LOL.

I have run their stuff, and I am actually going a little different route, working on a custom build with Martin. All it took was one trip to the track, Talladega trip in Modified Mag, and I was hooked. These guys are perfectionists, and I doubt there are many who know so much about the 4g63, who provide so much customer service, and quality components.

Until you get a clutch, I should beat you with the stock turbo if I ever put my cams in.

IF I were to get a turbo kit (GT35) with AEM..... could I make 80-100 more whp reliably? like never have snags and problems with my car? I just remember seeing lots of problems with turbo kits. When I'm at dyno days the guys with the turbo kits always have some problem keeping boost pressure and other little things.
