question about pulllies

just wondering about pullys and the effects on the 4g63....Evo 8 to be specific.. i recently got a Evo and i'm just looking at different options for cheaper mods

I remeber while sufering on a WRX furm they found them to free up alot of power... but it messed with the life of the motor... due to the fact that since the metal was lighter it has alot of vibrations that mess up the crank.

And I was wondering if anything found along the similar effects on our motors due the pullys?

and just wondering... with pullys are what kind of power gains are found and during what part of the power band? ... i know revs improve... but does spool improve?

thanks!

Uhm, I have no idea why you'd be asking about pulleys as one of your first mods. That's not a good idea, and who cares what the WRX forum says? That's a completely different motor.

"Cheaper mods" would be MBC (w/gauge), drop-in panel filter, then maybe a flash. Obviously, the next most important mod is exhaust, but that's not cheap.

I use one, a crank pully as it is the only one that can add power really. I puick up 10WHP and faster spool, better low end torque. YOU DO get more engine noise though. I love my pully .
