Lightweight Flywheel????
Lightweight Flywheel????
ok so I am having a clutch put in my EVO right now and the guy that is doing it claims that I cant resurface my stock flywheel for some reason so I am looking to get a new one ASAP. Should I get a lightwheight flywheel or just stick with the OEM??

From what I've been hearing lately... The stock flywheel doesn't seem to be of the highest quality... It seems that it may have a problem with heat dissipation which is a major cause of why our clutches are going out... I just changed my clutch for the second time (the first change the installers bent the clutch) and I have an aftermarket exedy clutch and I haven't even smelt that well known burning clutch smell.... I have an oem clutch and an Exedy flywheel... even though exedy makes all the oem stuff I think they may cut some corners on our oem flywheels....
Just my two cents
