boost problem Please help

Car is brand new. Has about 1500 miles on it. I installed a dejontool boost controller a few hundred miles ago. Been working awesome the whole time. Then last night I was doing a pull through all the gears and at about the top of 4th something happened and now its acting all weird. It will hold 20psi all the way till about 6000rpms and then bam it falls to 8psi instantly and makes this weird sound like a boost leak. i checked everything. Tried a different boost controller, tried another bov, checked all the vacuum lines and still nothing. I stumped and dont want to remove the boost controlller and take in for warranty work. Pain in the ***. Does anyone have any suggestion? You would think if it was a boost leak it wouldnt hold boost at all but it does through most of the powerband and then bam it fall fast to 8psi. What the fack? Thanks

Check all your innercooler hoses. I bet you have a leak, obviously not blown completley off, just enough to cause it to start loosing pressure above a certain PSI.

+1

It sounds like boost is holding until a certain point and then drops....remember, the stock I/C piping flexes and buldges under pressure (thats why we all want hardpipe Kits)

That flex may be enough to open up a leak somewhere...check all the clamps, or replace them with stronger ones....

Good luck.
