Did I damage my axle??

While putting an MR suspension in my 2003 today, I was pulling the spindle away from the strut. It was really tight, and as I was doing this I heard a pop from the inside axle boot. When I looked, the inside boot was stretched out, but there were no tears or leaks. I pushed the axle back towards the transmission, the boot popped twice, and everything was fine. Drove the car, it does not make any noise and drives fine. My question is did this ruin the axle and joint, or do the axles stretch at these joints without problems.

The drive shafts have c-clips around them that lock them into the tc and the cv. I would guess that you pulld hard enough to pop the c-clip and spline out and as long as it snapped when you pushed it back in you should be good to go.

most likely not, go get the car on the alignment rack and if something is bent it'll show up
