What to do with stock boost controller?

I installed a greddy profec b spec II. Runs great, love it, blah blah. When I did the install I took out the stock boost controller (golden metal piece with 2 black prongs) and the cable. Unplugging the cable throws a CEL but when I plug it back in it goes away. However, when the stock boost controller is unplugged it makes a really annoying whistle noise. Is there anything I can do so this wont happen? Can I get rid of the CEL some other way?

U have to take the hose off the intake VACCUM side before the compressor and just leave the Boost Controller there

Yea, just uplug the vaccum lines , but keep the plug (wire harness) plugged in. That way you won't get the CEL.
