Can you visually tell if you have 10.5 hotside?

I bought my Evo in October 04 and someone has said that the later model year 04's came with the 10.5 hotside. Is this true and if so how can I tell if I have the 10.5 hotside. I was going to purchase one but if I already have one could use the $300 toward something more worth while like cams

Look at the hotside scroll. If it says 9.8 on it, you don't.

Take off your heat shield and try to locate the part number on the hotside. The last digits should read 105T. If you see 98T, then you don't have the 10.5 hotside. Btw, it is a worthwhile investment actually.. and doesn't void your warranty like the cams do.

Step on the gas really hard. If it goes fast you might have the 10.5 Hotside.

I took the heatshield off and I don't see this number anywhere?

Oh, that means that you have one of those rare Evo's with no hotside scroll. Must be laggy.

Go under the car and look at the hotside that way. You won't be able to see it from above.

So if I take the time to crawl under my car what exactly am I looking for. What part of the hotside is the number going to be located on. The only number I saw on the hotside from the top was where the hotside meets the exhaust manifold. It was a 78-01 something, something number. there are the numbers on the compressor housing but those are specific to the compressor side. Thanks again for the info.
