I'm not knocking AMS as they are a great company to work with but realize that their kit is not custom and is made up off Eagle rods, Ross pistons, and a 4g64 crank. All of these components can be bought off of the shelf from anyone. I like the fact that Jun and Crower develop and manufacture most of the components that make up their stroker kit.

It seems to me that the single most expensive component of kits like Jun or Crower is the crank. Custom forged pistons and billet rods aren't that big of a deal in comparison.

What does one do to get that transfer case and transmission?
RRS has my vote too, www.4g63.com. Ask them to build you a complete 4g64 2.4l bottom end and incorporate the oil squirters and the works. They built my 2.0 built engine and it runs ridiculously great, I wouldn't ask anyone else to build the engine after them.
