dumb question

ok i know i might get some flack for this, but i need to know. what are the differences in the evo's 4g63 head and the 2g eclipse 4g63 head? what would be the potential benifits of using a evo head in place of the eclipse head? i know this isnt a 2g eclispe forum but i want a few evo gear heads' opinions on this.

They are extremely different sorta. They look almost the same but obviously are mirrored for one thing. I know the cams will not fit each other. The runners are shaped differently.. I dont know much about the internals of things to get any deeper though. Why would you want to know?

I would think since they are mirrored they would not fit. But if they did you would need to obviously move the cam angle sensor (And that is if it even fits) probably by re-wiring it. I know a guy that would know for sure but can't find his website and he isnt answering his phone. I guess you should just try calling AMS or Buschur or someone that would know. People make plenty of power with the second gen head. I know a guy that puts down over 700 to the ground with a second gen head (Shane from Elite).

i would call buschur but the last time i asked them a question, they wouldnt help me because i havent purchased anything from them. no big deal, i asked someone else. yeah i guess that would make sense once you think about it. i guess i didnt think too hard. i didnt realize that the eclipse engine's timing belt was on the other side.
