at elkcreek the car ran a 7.80 with a 1.68 60 ft time at 81
at the same track one of the other evos ran a 8.2 at 82
basically the car gets down to the other end of the track quicker then the other evos but with a slower trap speed then theres.

We are going to hook up a wideband to it, and a couple of the other evos up at the shop and compare the numbers, if that dosnt show anything we will do a compression check and then we will look into getting something to datalog with. is there anything else we should check ?

The intakes do not make that much of a diff, and its not a tuning thing, before when the white car and mine were pretty much stock(just exhaust) the white one would always pull on mine. It's a very confusing thing.

The track we ran at last nite is not a track known for good times. I ran at the new shelor track and was able to pull 8.2's on stock clutch with 1.7 60's.
The car has run 7.8's with a TurboTrix tune on stock clutch. However the traps were only 81 at best!

BTW all of us are '03s.

I purchased this car from a friend of mine about 6 months ago, his user name is brandon I think. You guys may/may not recall him posting about the same problem.

Im confused .. I tuned it but you have a dynoflash ?? You went 7.8 with my tune ? mail in ?

yeah, the mistake was an easy to make one, I understand. I had to practically beat it out of Al as to what was wrong with it, as I've never had experience with the software, but the problem was on par with what I was thinking. No hard feelings.

btw, and not to try and cut you down, but the 7.8 was done on a short track, its not quite a full 1/8 mile.

just ran a compression test, numbers are 165 across the first 3, and about 155 in number 4. Not sure if its because of the seal on my tester kit is no good(doesent look to good) or what..but I hope its not that cylinder.

Neway, I see that these are not on par with the typical 180-190 pressures, however I dont' see how an 8.8:1 engine can produce that much pressure when a 10.6:1 engine only produces 210.

Newayz, thanx

well the theory is dynoflashed evos will not pull as hard as turbotrix tunes, as dynoflash is abit more conservative on the top end.
