Is my fuel pump going bad???

Last night I accidentally overfilled the tank when I was going out with my wife and daughter. We drove around 30-40 miles I started noticing a zinging sound from my fuel pump. At first it sounded like an air leak together with the zinging sound and then the air leak sound went away. I stopped the car, checked things out, and they seemed okay except for the sounds.
I drove another few miles until we got to a restaurant and the zinging sound was still there, but no air leaking sounds.
After having pizza and walking around for about an hour, we went back to the car, started her up and the sounds were gone.
One note....one time when I pulled over the car felt like it was going to stall, but it didn't.
After the sounds went away and we drove around for another hour or so the car ran great with any possible stalling issues or sounds.

Could this all be from over filling the tank?

Any replies would be greatly appreciated!

I do not see fuel pump in your mods. I assume that you have upgraded to the Walbro which makes a bit of noise from time to time (usually high pitched wine).

I don't know if it's your fuel pump, but you can get a Walbro 255 for around $85.00...it's pretty cheap insurance if it is...

As far as I know...I have a stock fuel pump. I bought the car used and I don't know if a fuel pump was installed. hmmm Is there any way to tell without pulling out the whole pump?
