Unhappy Boost Spikes and HP/TQ loss...

I havent had much time to really look into this but last time i put my car on the dyno i saw some really strange boost spikes and fluctuations. before i bought my car i know that the previous owner had an aftermarket BOV and a greddy profec-b boost controller, could these previous mods affect the current performance? any suggestions will be appreciated thanks!

Yea, its definitely because of the EBC....maybe have a pro take a look at it to see if its functioning properly.

Question

thanks for the idea, the thing is though that both the BOV and EBC are no longer on the car, i decided to stay with the stock BOV and just replace the intercooler plumbing w/ samco hoses and use a cone filter. Could it be any residual effect that either one had on the car? incorrect installation or sloppy removal?

Could be that the ECU has been affected by the EBC and BOV and still thinks they are still installed on the car. Have u tried reseting your ECU since the removal of these mods?

when they put back in factory boost controller they prolly used standard vac line where as the original lines have pills to keep it from overboosting. I would recommend a MBC or it could be your bov leaking. Building boost and dropping over and over is usually a leak or leaky bov. The car doesnt overboost until 24psi so unless your hitting that, its prolly a leak.
