what dyno did you get those numbers on?1.8t

i was looking at hks but i think you could get the same out of another company with out the big name. so far every one has good responses to the gsc. but if your looking for reliablity in the company i would go hks. food for thought

do still need to replace valve springs on the 272 cams? Is the difference in performance between the 264 b 272 big? I'm just worried about the idling issues that the 272 gives? Is it really that bad?

I went with GSC 264/272. I can only compare them with stock cams, but I like them alot. Good mid range and upper power. Also, Al from dynoflash seems to prefer the GSC's.

gsc 272/264 for stock turbo, that seems to be the hottest combination out there. If you are a more conservative person you might want to go with the hks. But why would a conservative person drive and modify an evo

HKS 264/272 here. I love it. Idles significantly better than the cars w/ 272 intake as well.

The Topspeed dyno here in Atl. All other cammed cars were hitting right on these numbers that day regardless of 264/264, 272/264, 264/272, and 272/272. The cars with the 10.5 hotside were hitting 338whp or so and the 03's with cams where hitting low 330's whp like me.

I'm in the same situation. i want to get cams but, don't know what to get. i need injectors too. i run into fuel cut at 21PSI. stock injectors are max out. I'm considering buddy club's. my friend has them and his car pulls way harder than mine. I have the fuel pump and safcII and other supporting mods and my friend pulled on me by two cars. if you are going to get cams do it right the first time. get crower springs and retainers(you can rev higher than 7K and won't hurt the motor), arp head studs(added safety), and cam gears(if you want to get the max out of your cams). be careful with cams you don't want to go too cheap. cheap equals build quailty issues. HKS cost more because they did all the R&D. buddy club is 100 bucks cheaper and the quality is pretty good. RRE has been beating them up for 5K now with no problem. just don't drop down to the meagan racing level. you may regret it.

my 2c's
