HFC, Test Pipe, what to do for emissions?

what do you guys, with 3" HFC's and Test pipes, do when it comes time to check emissions? do you just put the stock cat back on that day or what? and do the 3" HFC's almost always pass emissions? thanks

I have 3" test pipe and I use my "connections" to pass emmissions. Otherwise I guess I'd crawl my *** under the car and put the stock cat on.

I used my Ultimate Racing HF to pass. As long as you don't get a check engine light with the HF, I would think it would be fine.

I think the car might pass with my HF cat with no cams, but with the cams it seems unlikely...

My plan is to throw the stock cat and cat-back on and hope for the best.

I'm not sure what to do next, since my Helix CB is just too loud without the silencer, but I lost 50 WHP with the silencer installed. May switch to a cutout, try a diff catback, or try adding resonators to the Helix.

If the car doesn't pass with stock exhaust and cat, I may need cam gears to dial out some overlap with the cams...

Do they do a sniffer test or OBDII scan? MOst cars these days just get scanned.

Hey again,

I don't know if the car will pass or not. I've seen posts that people have passed with straight 264s and no cam gears. I think they had stock cat or maybe HF cat...

I'll probably throw the stock cat on for an extra margin. Also want to make sure the cat is good and hot before going to get sniffed. I'm not even sure, maybe it's just an OBDII scan for newer cars. My Audi got the idle sniffer a few years ago. Last year, I just had a safety check, although the guy did comment that my exhaust was a little loud, heh. At the time it was just a Buschur AB with Helix DP and RT HF cat..

Take care,
