I have the same set-up and it made a huge difference. You should really get a tune before you start dropping the hammer on your car. You will see a huge difference with the tune. Just my 2 cents...

just wait until your tune is done and then you will be posting about how fast your car feels.

It's probably a good idea to drive it gently until it's properly tuned. Besides, unless the tune is the the same as before the cams, you can't even make an accurate comparison because there are too many other variables. Wait until after it's tuned, I promies you won't be disappointed

I may be off base but it takes a lot of horsepower to make a difference when the car is already as fast as it is. I think the sensation of a car being faster is real, but one guys seat is more feeling than someone else's.
Figure a car length in an eight of a mile, to some people that is big, the difference between winning a race and losing. To me and most people a car length is nothing. Less than the difference one would see from weather related changes. Can someone feel that much difference and claim his car was quicker? maybe.
Tuning performance is a matter of perception, real or not, enough horsepower to make a significant difference is going to be a function of a lot of mods. Singularly the effect has got to be negligible. Although you may think one mod did a lot based on the increased pleasure you derive from sound or low end torque.

So explain to me why I dump money into the car trying to make it faster. Consider me a weak soul.

How about this. My car base dynoed at 245whp. After a tune it was at 290whp, that is close to 50-60 crank hp difference. Went from a 13.6 to a 12.7 in the 1/4 mile. That was before the cams. It should be right around 330-340whp after a custom tune. That is close to 100whp. If you can not feel that you have some major problems... Power is everything! If you think it isn't go purchase a Yugo...

That is with the TBE, and MBC being tuned properly. If you just slap parts on your car a lot of times you may actually lose HP. The tune is everything. Even a flash on a stock EVO can yeild 15-20WHP. That is 25-35hp at the crank.
