Ultimate Racing Turbo Kit

How does this turbo kit compare to the AMS or RNR GT35R Turbo kit in terms of horsepower, top end power, and spool as well as reliability.

Not many people run it is why you're not hearing much about it. AMS, Buschur, RNR, even ATP seem to be more popular.

There is one guy that runs it and runs mid 11s@120MPH+, but I do not think the Ultimate Racing Kit will make as much power as a GT35R, it's capabilites are more along the lines of the GT30R. So in my humble opinion, I believe the UR Kit is capable of around 500WHP (Race Gas), the GT35R is capable of 600WHP+.

The UR kit is a GT35R. All GT35R (properly sized) turbo kits produce roughly the same, power and spool up. What you pay for is fitment, quality, availability, and customer support.

If there turbo kit is anything like there exhaust, then its pretty good.

Is a good kit, just make sure you keep the stock radiator else get ready for a lot of custom work. I'm running it on my car, I'm running the t3 flanged 58 trim .70 A/R compressor with the .63 A/R on the exhaust side version of the kit. The car dynoed around 410whp on 91 octane on a dynojet on 21psi and due to the conservative timing I'm running, we cranked up the boost to 23psi and still see no knock so it should theoretically be making 420-430 whp right now daily street driven. You're going to get similar results with everyone's kit granted the turbo is the same.

You say "Ultimate Race" and then GT35R which isn't the ultimate race turbo. The GT35R is probably the most aggressive street/strip turbo you would want at a seal level or slightly above.

Most of the fastest DSM's are all running T4 flanged turbos. Which in lamens terms means much bigger. A GT42 would be a very powerful 1/4 turbo too. What you haven't seen out of the EVO's yet that the DSM guys have been doing for years is nitrous. All the fastest DSM's spray.

If you add spray to a GT35R that would be a hard combo to beat for a street car. I would assume you could see high 9's with it spraying a 100 shot. When you want to see what works on a EVO just go read up on DSM's. Many are trapping over 140mph many you have never heard of.

Wess trapped 146mph in his built 4g63 spraying a 100 shot full T4.

Yes, Adam is right. It is a T3 Flanged 35r. I owned it. It is a very streetable kit and spools around 4200rpms and I did that untuned , but I ended up selling it because it was a bit too much for me, and went with the HKS 3037s kit. It will put down the same numbers as all the other companies named, but like what was also said is quality etc. It isd 3700 not 4500 because you don't have a fancy Tubular manifold, or polished parts. You could coat it if you wanted. Terry Cheungs turbo is coated black and his setup is hot. He has way more potential out of his kit and he ran 11.4 or 11.3 with I believe a 1.8 60" for you can see it is a good kit.

Yeah, my turbo setup is the Ultimate Racing setup, and it does have a GT35R. My turbo is coated black like Nesiop said. 4th gear wasn't cooperating when I made the 11.4 run, and that was on stock motor with a piggyback management.

The UR setup is real nice. Welds on it are great, and the turbo does make good power. I have pics if anyone wants to see.
