thinking about picking this exhaust up in a few months and was wondering if the resonators were straight 3 inch through or not. thanks, nick.

 

They taper to 2.75 and I believe they're 3 of them.

 

I've heard that they taper but I'm not sure. I had the HKS Hyper 30th Anniversary on the Evo before the RM01A and the neck-downs on the resonators don't make a difference. The HKS made about 2-3hp more and your not going to be able to feel the difference.

If you're really **** about that like some people, you can go with the HKS which only has a neck-down for the cat. But even some people are **** about that. The neck-down doesn't make a damn difference unless you're going for over 500whp.

I have this on my car and the resonators taper down a bit from 3 inches, there are 2 resonators and a straight canister muffler ... but I'm sure, it hardly hurts performance ... on the other hand the savings in noise alone is worth more than the 1-2 hp it may reduce compared to one with no resonators....

 

exactly...and the reduced weight over other systems as well. hands down one of the nicest exhausts out there for the $$

Also, does the RM01A come with an O2 sensor bung ?

 

RM01A is mildly louder than stock - alot quieter than the HKS

yes the US Spec ones come with the 02 sensor bung, or if you get it with an Ultimate Racing test pipe, you can do without the rear 02 bung

 

I love mine,and it also has two bung one for 02 and wideband.

 

Where's the second bung hole ( ).

For the A/F wide-band, the optimum sensor placement is on the DP just before the cat.

 

Yes, the Rm-01A is quieter than the HKS Hiper. It seems to be slightly louder than stock. It's not that noticeable but the tone has more bass than stock. At WOT, it doesn't sound wheezy like stock but sounds like stock with more bass.....it's hard to describe...........

Mine didn't come with an O2 senor bung but I had one welded on. The newer ones are modified by Fujitsubo USA so they'll have them.

Anybody know if Fujitsubo USA are modifying their titanium systems with O2 senors bungs? I really want to get the Super Ti but I don't want to lose my cat.........I like to breath fresh air..........
