Pulling the old misfire code
Possible fix for misfire code
Boy, the last three months have been fun. Everyday I pull the old misfire code. Tried everything to fix the problem. It started after I installed my new cams. I thought that was the problem. I have been told that cams can cause the code. Well tonight I think I stumbled across the problem. I just got my new Speed Source under hood bushing kit and went out to install it. After I got the battery tray off I noticed something alarming. The motor mount directly underneath the tray looked like it was loose. Sure enough the damn bolt was on the last thread. After installing and tightening the motor mount bolt I took the car out for a spin. The car used to throw the code after 5 miles. Well I put 50 miles on the car tonight with no code. I hope that was the problem. Time will tell and I we keep everyone informed. I am pretty damn sure when I had my clutch installed someone forgot to tighten that bolt. I also was getting quite a bit of driveline noise in the car too and it reduced quite a bit. I can hear myself talk now. Just thought I would post this up incase anyone else has had similar problems.

Day three with no code. I put close to 100 miles on the car. Well it seems like the motor mount was the problem. If anyone else has had a clutch install and is throwing the code they may want to check the motor mount.
Well, day four and no code. I am satified this was the problem. It would pull the code five minutes after I reset the ECU before. Hopefully this helps someone else. Any feedback?
