Exhaust vendors

I apoligize but I am just drained after searching through the forums and vendors sites trying to determine what the "best" turboback exhaust is and where the "best" place is to buy it. What I am looking for is a vendor who sells a complete 3" turboback exhaust with a high flow cat and no fitment issues (tip must be straight and centered in the factory cutout). Loudness seems to be a relative term. I have a friend with aftermarket exhaust on this '03 cobra and it doesn't seem all that loud to me. Could any of the exhausts for the evo possibly be louder? I can't imagine they would be. Anyway, who out there has a kit for me at a good price?

Thanks in advance,

DcSleeper

Buschur, Vishnu, or Ultimate Racing all have what your looking for. I have an Ultimate racing 3" TB and it fits and sounds good.

Sorry lpbevo but I am looking for a one time buy of the whole turboback exhaust.

008 I have taken a look at both Vishnu and Bushar. Vishnu sells the Helix as there standard but I have seen mixed reviews of this exhaust on the board as far as fitment goes. There signiture is really nice, but also seems overly expensive. Bushar seems to be the one that everyone is getting, but damn that Helix looks good (not that you will see most of it unless it is on a lift). I will have to take a look at UR now that you mention it.

Does the Helix exhaust need any special spacers? I have seen mention of this and that Vishnu supplies them, but their standard (Helix) exhausts are back ordered for a month so was looking for another vendor who sells the spacers with the exhaust.

Regards,

Any newer Helix systems don't require spacers...that being said, no one I know in the country has a full turbo back (ie we have a cat and downpipes in stock, but no catbacks)

Ultimate Racing Exhausts here: http://z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?model...ust&prodid=479

Exhaust is exhaust is exhaust, fitment is car dependent.

bolsen,

How can fitment be car dependant? Either the exhaust fits an '03 evo like a glove or it doesn't. The tolerances in the factory brackets can not be off by any amount that you woud see on the final product. You are right about the exhausts though. Basically, all 3" full turboback exhausts will yield equal increases in performance. Maybe I am just lazy, but I want to order the whole exhaust from one company at one time and be done with it. I really don't want to have to peice a system together from various vendors. Plus I am looking for the most cost effective solution without sacrificing quality. Right now I think that I will be going with Bushar since they seem to have everything that I am looking for. Namely quality, fitment, and best price that I have seen on the whole system.

car dependant meaning Evo 8 GSR vs RS/MR

all the systems will yield nearly identical power figures....what seperates them are materials, sound and looks (as well as overall design...some, like Buschur, use slip fit, others are flanged)
