My car is totally stock power wise, I just ordered hallman mbc , my main purpose isn't to increase boost, but the get rid of boost tapper and try to hold 20.3(stock boost) till redline. I have read a few threads and searched seems to not have a direct answer to if this is do able. is it possible to eliminate boost tapper and hold at 20 or 21 and still be totally safe on a totoal stock 05??? any advice will be greatly appreciated.... I should be receiving it soon i would like to know before i mess with it TIA

You'll still taper ~1-2 psi at redline but it will be a night and day difference to the stock setup.

You will hold boost fine in the midrange but it still tapers a little from 5-7k. Open up your exhaust first before you start messing with the boost.

It's less than $100, just put the damn thing on and see if you feel a difference. Obviously, it's a BOOST CONTROLLER which means you will hold most of the boost up to redline...meaning you will have a little more power. If this was a few hundred bucks it'd be worth questioning and re-questioning, but it's not...just put it on.
