helix intake intall ?

I was trying to install a helix intake on my 03 and everything was going great untill i tried disconnecting the stock tube from the turbo. the screw that needed to be loosened to get the clamp off is on the bottom so there is no way to get my hand in there to get a screw driver or a wrench on it. I spent a couple of hours trying to figure out how the heck to get it off. I ended up just putting the filter on with out the new boost tube and it sounds much better but I need help to figure out how to change out the tube. I tried pulling like hell on it and the thing wont budge its such a tight fit I think even if I took off the whole undertray I still cant get to it. who ever put it on like that must have had no intention of the thing ever comming off.
Can someone who has changed out one of these please give me some advice on how to get the thing off the turbo.

thanks
nick

I ran into the same problem. I just ended up using wire cutters to cut the damn clamp off and bought a new one.

that thought had crossed my mind. Looking back thats what I should have done now I am going to have to take all that stuff off again. What kind of cutters did you use to get the thing off? its a pretty tight fit to get a cutting edge on.

First, stick a flathead screwdrive under there and pry until there's enough room to get some wire cutters under there. The wire cutters I used were basic cutters from Sears.

Use a 10mm 1/4" socket and wrench. It works way better than a screwdriver. Or you can use a 10mm open end wrench.

I ended up replacing the OE intake tube clamps w/ regular worm gear clamps. It's made my life a lot easier.

I got the bolt off with a 10mm socket and put the intake on. It makes a huge difference sound wise over stock. I put on a greddy type s bov and it screams. There is more turbo lag than there was before. I have a mbc and boost gauge on the way. Next I need to get a TBE.
Thanks for the help
