Unhappy With Exedy Clutch Whats Next?

Well i put a Exedy stage 2 four puck in 20k ago 2 weeks ago it started to make a groaning sound every now and then when i take off.... Now it is starting to slip a little when boost hits. I dont see how its eatin up in 20k miles there was no such thing as "slipping" the clutch or burning it at red lights it was grab and go it was only launched a few times and never have i smelt clutch from a launch it blows my mind and pisses me off at the same time... So my QUESTION BEING is whats a hard grabbing long lasting clutch... my car has 300whp so far planning on more around 400whp .......................thanks for the help Nick

At 1.5 G a pop, I would expect the Exedy stage 2 to hold at least 300whp and last a reasonable amount of time.... Can someone else who has this clutch comment? I am in the market for a new clutch as well!

I would go with Exedy triple carbon or Exedy twin carbon D-Core or RPS carbon carbon.
I read many good reviews about these clutches.

RPS.. dosent matter which one you wont be sorry. I was gonna go with act but it's preventing my friends white evo from shifting above 6,500rpm. Which is a good 1,000 or so from where i shift.

That sounds like an install related problem. I have had 1000 trouble free miles with my ACT street disk set-up. Make sure you have a good shop do the install. That will save you many headaches.

I have the exedy triple for 10K miles, no probs, the ACT clutches are hard on the other drivetrain components, but they do grab like hell. but they will probably bust your TC and trans. this is from what I have heard on this site!

I'm using a four puck with a sprung hub from Project GEN. Engagement is just slightly different from stock but it works great!
