Wich downpipe for 05? With Flex Please!

I am using a Perrin Downpipe and its a very tight fit and I am tire of having to adjust the bolts every few weeks. The Perrin downpipe gets loose because it has no flex. Anyone know of a good Downpipe with no fitment issues on 05 and flex? Wich one I should buy?

If the downpipe utilizes the stock donut gasket where it meets the o2 housing, then you don't need a flex section. Why are your bolts coming loose? Are you torquing them to 37 ft-lbs? I've never had that problem w/ my HKS downpipe which has no flex.

Yes, it uses the stock donut, but no idea why it keeps coming loose and leaking on the donut. Its the fifth time I have to adjust them in 6 months. Maybe I need to replace the bolts.

What do you suggest?

Are the springs compressed pretty well when you torqued the bolts down? If I remember correctly, the coils are pretty close to each other once mine were torqued down.

Def should nto be working loose - what was stated is true..with the stock donut gasket, you don't need a flex section. But if you have to have one with a flex, the one from Ultimate Racing is an awesome piece, and fits the 05's and the MR's

That Ultimate Racing downpipe looks great. About the bolts and springs, where I can find a new set of those?

Could that be the problem? I would like to try something else before buying a new downpipe.

Are you using the OE bolts? If your bolts don't have springs, then you're definitely not utilizing the stock donut gasket.

Does your downpipe inlet have a tapered flange or is it a flat flange?

Yes it has a donut, I adjusted the donut and bolt myself the last time. But I dont installed it the first time, so I dont know if I am using the OE bolts or not.

Hmmm... if you're not using springs on the bolts, chances are, you're not using the OE bolts. The OE bolts are about 2.5-3" long.

Try RnR, they use flex sections.
