WasteGate restrictor pill

Have anyone tried adding a restrictor pill
in between the WasteGate and the T

I was wondering if this would make the wastegate stay close a little longer than stock

I think there is one in there already.

When people add an Xede you remove the one by the airbox but leave the one after the T. I may be wrong.

Yep. Except, I put one right after the restrictor in the turbo line. It will make the wastegate stay closed a little longer. Your boost pressure will also go up too.

Yep. It drops the pressure out of the turbo even more.

It does nothing for spool up.

okie tks you answered my question
but the way I'm going to try it is with the restrictor in between the T and the wastegate.
I feel putting two restrictor at the turbo pipe
will defeat the purpose of getting more boost by removing the restrictor between the Stock bleeder valve and the T

just my thought

Nope. You should have the restrictor next to the boost solenoid already removed if you have an XEDE. Running a second restrictor on the same line will drop the pressure in the entire wastegate system more. This is a good thing if you have the wrong spring in your wastegate.

just want to update everyone
after I put in additional restrictor pill in between the t and the wastegate
boost comes up 300 rpm quicker but it's not higher.

I recommend this mod for quicker spool

if you want more boost, use a gm solenoid, set it up in between the wastegate and the turbo.that is if you can control boost with the xede.
the perrin ebcs may be as good,(mine was faulty)

no restrictors, no pills no nada.

i wouldn't suggest doing it if you don't know whats going on....

if you have an aftermarket ecu that can control boost!
in this case you will no longer be running bleed, you now have a hose from the wastegate to the ebcs and from there to the turbo.
in my case I went from 18 lbs with the stock solenoid, to 25 with this method. now I have a number of mods that may make my situation different than yours.

You NEED the restrictor pill thats in there stock. Not the one close to the BCS, but the otherone coming off of the turbo.
