Porting the Forced Performance !0.5T

Does anyone know the reason why the FP 10.5T is a million times tougher to bur thru than the 02 housing? the 02 housing came out perfect ( gasket matched ) while the forced performance 1-.5T has ALOT of room to be ported for gasket matching. Normally I would say this is a good thing but this piece is destroying everything I throw at it, any one know why?

Also here are two crappy pics taken from a crappy cell phone of how much is able to be taken off this thing, its atleast 3/16th inch, some areas 3/8's .

i would think since the turbo will see more temp change than the o2 housing it would be made solid.thats why you see more o2 housing crack under extreme heat than turbo housings.

And because of this would Porting it be a "bad" idea? I mean, you got like 3/16th all the way to 3/8's to match the gasket size.

The 10.5 housing is made out of some material that is different. There's a mention of it on FP's site somewhere. It's AN something or other.
