This pretty much sums it up for me. There should be a Warrtaloncheck on here to see if your potential post meets his decency requirements.

Hi,

Actually, the newer version ECU that Dynoflash features can control it a little bit, but if you ask Al, he would also recommend you put in an MBC for nice consistent boost...I was actually tuned back in Sep 04...

The MBC piece is only around $90 but yet it does so much...

My delay was that I was thinking of getting an EBC first, then, I bought some cams, and debating on jumping in on an AEM EMS when I install the cams - which can control boost electronically too.

After all that, I just decided, what the heck, go for the MBC first because it is so little in cost...nice quote by the way...

Yeah, I kinda though Warrtalon was making a JOKE about the gauge adding horsepower. Kinda like how the kids' on the Honda boards talk. But I guess some people don't have a sense of humor Don't think I'm jumpin' on Warrtalon's back either, it just seems you may have been a little thin skinned about his comment!! Even Spec'd knew it was a joke if you look at his comment after Warrtalon's

Thin-skinned or not, he has a right to his opinion and I have a right to mine. How would you like it if you posted something describing a new mod you put in and another person makes you the butt of the joke - insinuating that you are adding rice mods (eg, boost gauge adds HP)? I am sure, you would not appreciate it either. I just decided to VOICE my opinion. You may choose to ignore it - that's your perogative...

Believe me, I am NOT as thin-skinned as you think...

I have seen Warrtalon get on other people's post and trash them or make sarcastic remarks. I just thought he would never do it to me as I have never said anything negative to him. Even so, I have no beef with Warrtalon - I just wanted to let him know that if he posts, not everyone will react the same way that he expects. You can PM a few of these folks that have been on this forum for a while and they can confirm what I said regarding his posting history (or you can just do a search - he posts A LOT). Some of it, I admit is pretty damn funny! But, in the long run, we are all Evo family so I think it's all good. Anyway, he seems to have lost interest in this thread as I am as well...

This was the problem. I always say that a boost gauge and MBC are the 2 most important mods (along with exhaust), so I didn't expect you to take my comment as insinuating such (e.g. ricey). The fact that I run the same MBC should have helped, too. I would get an aftermarket boost gauge like that, too, if I didn't have one from the factory. I may need one anyway, since it maxes at 21.75psi.

Hey Warrtalon! The Defi D series boost gauge is discontinued, so a lot of vendors are selling it for real cheap. I got mine from RavSpec for $99 shipped. I added the Autometer steering gauge pod and it came out real nice like factory. PM me if you want a pic of it but I am sure there are already a few pics out there.

The way your mods are headed, I am surprised you have not got an aftermarket one, esp if the stock is limited to 21.75 psi!

Actually, I am glad we duked it out cuz now I see your point and I RESPECT you more for it!

Cheers!

Peace, bro!
