Suddenly im rich

no i didnt win the lottery, just trying to get some suggestions on why my car all of a sudden started to run rich, my mods are in my sig. i can really smell the fuel when im coming to a stop or when i rev my motor, at first i thought it was my greddy type-s leaking so i swithced over to a aps bov no dice still rich then i thought it was my boost controller because it was hissing so i got a hallman no hissing but still rich i reset the ecu to see if it will relearn, nada, keep in mind i have a ttm dynoflash and it wasnt running rich when i first had the flash it was like a month after that it started. someone told me that it may be my o2 sensor since i was runnin w\out a tune for a long time or my sparkplugs arent cuttin it anymore,

help me

thanks

Yeah, Marco, I'd check or change out the plugs.

To see if they're fouled (dark black and covered in soot). Copper NGK BPR7ES are only $6-7 for a set of 4 at the local auto parts store, so it's no real loss to put some in and check it out if you can't tell from looking at the plugs themselves.

you know i have the buschur stuff and i am running pretty rich too. i changed out my spark plugs and it didnt help one bit. but i have boost leaks all over the place. and so what i dont is T-bolted every coupling. and on the tube that connects to the turbo i made a header gasket and also put in high temp gasket maker. it didnt help so i went in and put a little bit of gasket maker inside of all the couplings and i still have leaks. now i dont know what to do.

just put them in, warm the car up, run it hard through the gears, come right home, wait till it cools and pull the plugs.. if you need post a pic so we can see if you cant tell..

very bad misfire means very bad ignition, very bad ignition would result in unburned gas.. so its possible..

Could be a bad O2 sensor, or a major leak somewhere in your intercooler pipes (though it may be hard to find, and this is an unusual symptom), your MAF could be having a problem (check the connection)

Every so often, when I start my car by quickly turning the key, the MAF doesn't initialize fully, and it runs rich at idle and part throttle.. So befor eyou go too crazy, turn the key, wait a second, then start the engine.. And change your plugs first..

Not a bad mood, this is normal. Mike just has a VERY BAD HABIT of going crazy with his questions, so I try to keep him in line. He's pretty good at listening, too, so it works out.
