****evo Mr Exhaust/02housing Question***

I have a 2005 EVO MR with a HKS-hipower exhaust and a HKS SSQV BOV..im about to order a 3" JIC downpipe for my EVO MR, would i need to buy a new o2 housing or would i be fine without it??? thanx

Did he also tell you to buy some blinker fluid?

Not sure why anyone would EVER say you "need" to replace the O2 housing just to install a DP, but oh well. Maybe he was just saying you should go ahead and get a ported 02 housing that doesn't restrict exhaust flow so that you can get full use out of your TBE? Either way, it's not necessary...

haha yea when he told me that i was like what are u saying..he was like dude trust me ask some1...so i am...and i was right, right? the o2 has nothin to do with performance and i dont need one if i run a turboback exhaust..am i right??

Not true. The stock, unported O2 housing is still a restriction in the exhaust path after the turbo, but it's not as important as the rest of the exhaust.
