New stock clutch, a few questions

Well I bought my evo with an Exedy hyper single plate clutch already on it. The clutch was suffering from a number of problems with throwout bearings, chattering, and very harsh engagement... This car is my daily driver, and I don't race it, so I decided to switch to the stock clutch. (lets not go into why). I've driven about 50 miles with the stock clutch and I've noticed a few things that seemed a bit odd to me. Keep in mind I've only driven an evo with a stock clutch for a few minutes prior to having this installed, so I'm not that familiar with it.

First of all, the clutch seems to want to engage very slowly, like it almost bogs on every start.

Secondly, the clutch smells just about constantly.

The last thing is that the clutch makes noise at idle, but when i depress the pedel it goes away... My exedy did this as well, and I was told it was a bad throwout bearing. However, it still does it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Anything is helpful... If no one sees these symptoms then I'll take it back to the dealership cause they warranted the install to me.

I assumed the noise was normal as it has gotten a bit quieter with the new clutch...

not sure... the guys at the dealership seem eager to dick people over, so I'm trying to get these things diagnosed as quickly as possible.

Yeah it's more or less everytime I go from a stop I smell it, then it goes away, and I can smell it sometimes when I'm sitting at lights.

I have 16000 on the car with the stock clutch and it makes that rattling until I depress the pedal. No clue as to what it is. Never had the smell.....unless I slip it. The bogging, just give it more gas. It is AWD after all and takes a bit more than you average car to get moving.

i would like to know this as well because my T.O.B. is a bit noisy with my Exedy clutch.. Can I replace just the bearing (T.O.) or is this something that I ahve to take care of with a whole new clutch..
