Weird Boost Issues....Help?

i really dont know when it started but i noticed yesterday. when i was in 3rd, 4th, and 5th gear i would punch it from 3k rpm, my boost would hit 18-19, then around 4200rpm my boost would float up to my setpoint of 21, then start jumpin around 20, 21, 22. my mods are stock turbo, hallman mbc (cockpit mounted), buschur filter (which is mad dirty right now), buschur FMIC with piping, UR 3" TB, walbro 255lph, and dynoflash.

anyone have any ideas? should i take apart the mbc and see if anything is wrong? maybe the WG actuator is going bad (i do have 46K on my car)?

I have suspected a boost leak in my car now every since I installed my buschur FMIC because i have a really akward idle, but I just noticed this problem.

boost also seems to build slow as well.

Timing could be affecting your boost level.

i will check timing today through my logger, but i think it was fine. I will do a record run and get them tommorow for viewing purposes.

With it being so hot out you might be experiencing a little more knock than normal. Thus making the ecu pull timing. I'm untuned at the moment and every now and then I see my boost gauge act like this.

do a pressure test first then work from there. boost leaks can cause so many "hair pulling" problems and make you think it may be something else. good luck.
