Am I being ripped off?

I ordered a clutch for my car last month from a company called competition clutch, from what i understand its a guy that split ways with clutch masters and just started his own company (competition clutch) well the guy tells me his clutch's are very simalar to clutch masters for about 200 less. i ordererd a stage 2 from him, well for whatever reason he cant get me one for the evolution??????? so he sent out an organic exedy instead (part# 05803) http://www.prostreetonline.com/buy/e...anic_clutches/ i believe thats it. my question is, how simalar is this exedy clutch to clutch masters stage 2??? Should i tell him to screw off and look else where, or is this a reasonable trade off for the stage 2. I'm also matching this setup with an aluminum flywheel if that helps. thanks in advance!

here's the link to the clutch i was supposed to get http://www.competitionclutch.com/vie...&is_makeable=1

Exedy clutches are top notch.... i've heard they have fixed it by now, but clutch masters had alot of problems with the evo clutch in the past.

oh i absolutley agree, exedy is the way to go, but the pocket book is what tells me to look elsewhere. I dont know im torn between Maybe this guy did me a favor by not giving me one of his clutch's, and i want something that will be simalar to what i originally oredered.

Exedy is a good clutch, I had a hyper single and am now upgrading to twin carbon. Couple of questions for you: what are your current mods, what is your whp goal, and what kind of driving do you do?

If you go with an Exedy single carbon you get longer life, and better street manners. Of course your looking at $1800 but it comes with a lightweight flywheel and if it lasts twice as long as an organic....then figure at least the price of two organics, two installs, two throwout bearings, and at least one flywheel...you save in the end.

Well, i currently have no mods, but in the future my goal is in the neighborhood of 350whp , i do use the car as a daily driver mostly to work and back which is a total of a 6 miles a day. .Id love to drop 2000 on a clutch but I recently moved out of state and started a new job so money is tight right now. I'm looking for something reasonably priced, but will handle my future hp goals W/O upgrading it in a few months.
