If you read my post in the General forum, I currently drive an 04 M3, but want to get something more practical, and something I can put a ton of miles on and not worry about.
How are the clutches on the 05/06 EVO's? GSR, MR?
My buddy has an 03 and his is ALWAYS having problems
Are there any problems with 5th gear? Did they fix all the gear problems?
Again, My friend had lots of these problems on his 03.
Does anyone have pictures of the leather interior option on an EVO?
Are there any known problems with the EVO's I should be aware of?
(Please dont flame me for these next few questions...i've searched, but need lots of info quick, cause I have to change cars within 1 week)
Why did you choose the EVO over the STI?
Which is easier to MOD?
Which can be more of a daily driver with big HP numbers?
Thanks everyone! I appreciate your time.

all stock evo clutches are horrible ( if you really drive hard) its not a big deal cause you want to mod it anyways so why not upgrade the clutch? i picked to evo cause it feels more like a race car to me as where the sti feels more a like street car trying to be a rally car...... the evo tends to be easier to work on. also the stis put out good numbers they just dont tend to run as fast at the track..............but it also depends on how far you plan to mod...you cant go wrong either way....go drive both and see what you like best.............i have driven both and if i had the money i would have both...

^^ agreed, except for the clutch comment.
IMO the stock clutch is fine, as long as you don't plan on doing drag-style launches.
IMO the MR is the way to go if you don't plan on changing the suspension, otherwise get the GSR. SSL looks nice, but IIRC you can't get it w/out a sunroof, which sucks if you plan to track the car.
I chose the Evo over the STi for two very simple reasons:
1.) I HATE the sound of the boxer 4
2.) I prefer the Evo's razor sharp handling over the STi's (feels numb in comparison)
The Evo will also be easier (and safer) to mod and can retain great drivability while putting down lots of powah.
