choosing the correct heat range

I would like to know why when you put a performance ECU like HKS and Ralliart they recommend spark plugs heat 9:
Ralliart: http://www.ralliart.es/eng/ralliart2.html
HKS Kansai: http://www.kansaiss.co.jp/html/parts...ishi/kcm10.htm
HKS S45G - heat range is 9.

These ECUs are supposed to run agressive timing and fuel map, but isn't 9 too cold?

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does ignition timing affect a spark plug's temperature?
A: Yes, ignition timing directly affects the firing end temperature of the spark plug. Advancing the ignition timing prolongs the time to compress the burning gases. The pre-ignition temperature also elevates gradually, since the pressure and temperature of the combustible mixture is low before ignition. Advancing your timing elevates firing end temperatures.

Advancing Ignition Timing
Advancing ignition timing by 10° causes tip temperature to increase by approx. 70°-100° C

I heard that 75-100hp more it is time to go one step colder, but it doesn't tell me anything about the timing.
