Boost Taper?

Today i was driving and boosted my car and it tapered to 16psi and my manual boost controller is set at 21psi. A couple days ago when i had race gas in my car it held 24psi to redline. Can someone help me out. It is pissing me off why my car is doing this.

you can make one using a PVC pipe end cap, drill a hole in it and put a valve stem in the end, then just clamp it down on the intake side, such as where the stock airbox connects, and add pressure and listen for a boost leak somewhere...i don't have an EVO yet, so i am suggesting this based on what i have done with other turbo cars i have owned, just fyi...

Hey,
Thanks for the help everyone.
I'll try searching that this time instead of pressure testers.
