Question people running nitrous...

considering running nitrous through the evo and wanted to have people already doing so list their configurations. I don't want anything to extreme and I will either be running the N-tercooler or a straight WET shot to keep it on the safer side. Any supporting mods would be great to know about as well. Oh and I don't have much experience with nitrous either, so please be helpfull. thanks.

Wet isnt safer than dry. And dont waste your time with the ntercooler. You might as well be putting it into you motor. I think they only gain power with the ntercooler setup because nitrous is being sucked into the intake, just like a dry shot. On a dry 40 shot before the maf I went from a 12.5 @ 106mph to a 12.1 @ 115mph the same night. Turbo and supercharged cars love the nitrous. You gain power from the added oxygen from the nitrous plus its a great cooler for your intake air.

So going by ^^ N-tercooler is a waste. I would assume from what I've read though that you get better air/fuel ratios with the wet shot, as well as a "harder" hit right? So would I be ok with a 55 or 75 shot wet kit?

The 40 dry shot hit like a frieght train on our evo. And I would start small and work your way up. I think that the ntercooler is a waste of nitrous, but thats just me. And if your going to go dry make sure your injectors and fuel pump are up to the task.

ok great thanks. I'm running a walbro 255 already so i know i'm good there. as for injectors would you recommend swapping them out or just making sure they are good and clean. I think I'll stick with the 55 shot wet, just because I've seen a lot of people on here using it without fail, and my evo isn't highly modified.
