Yes you can connect them to make them a "loopback" to each other. Just make sure you leave the electrical connector on the solenoid plugged in.

I have K&N drop in filter already. Should I still be OK to install this valve? basically I want it for the faster spool up and being able to hold boost at 20 PSI instead of it falling off at higher RPM's. Thanks to anyone who responds.
The small hole on the MBC allows the pressure in the wastegate actuator vacuum line to bleed off. When you go off boost (or boost drops) and the MBC ball valve closes, there is still pressure between the MBC and wastegate actuator. If that pressure doesn't bleed off at that time, then that system will not operate as designed...

Exhaust is very, very important on a turbo car b/c the turbo depends on free flowing exhaust gas to perform well. If you try to "push" the turbo into working harder, the back pressure from the stock exhaust will work against the gains the turbo would produce. So you will not see as much gain until you upgrade the exhaust...but you should not hurt anything to start with as long as you stay really conservative on boost (19 or below).

and whoever drew it has it labeled wrong I guess, thats why I was confused. It makes as little more sense. I guess it will be easier once I get my car apart and actually see the real parts and not just a pic, I'll post more once I have started installing it.... Thanks again guys....
BTW..those diagrams in that DIY are accurate. There are *two* main methods for install. The most recommended method is to tap the vacuum line between the intake manifold and the BOV (DV)...the first diagram. Pros and cons of each method are listed in the DIY thread.

Also, do not reuse the factory hoses...they have a boost pill that will interfere. Keep them for later in case you need to reinstall and take the car to the dealer...

yes, normal

OK got the MBC installed, installation took a while but I wanted to be careful on my new car, hardest part was getting the dumb fan out so I could get to the hose on the turbo and on the wastgate.... Well I did a few test runs, and this thing really works magic, it holds boost all the way to redline, this thing doesnt kid around. Only question I have is this. I have it set where it holds at 20 PSI through all the gears to redline, but 5th gear holds at like 22-23 which seems a bit high. Should I lower it so it tops out at 20 in 5th or what? I heard that stock 05 EVO runs 20.3 PSI, so whats a safe level I should have it set at with no other mods except K&N drop in filter.
