I think most people do it to mix the idle quality of the 264 and the power of the 272. 272s and 264s aren't SUPER different in total power, it's more about the distribution of that power. straight 264s will have the power curve more leaning to the front of the band, and 272s more to the top (7000rpms+). In other words 264s are the most "usable" street setup with the benefit being earlier, and most people I've talked to tell me that through the meat of the band there really isn't a lot of difference.

stock setup has a bigger intake cam which is the reason I went with the 272/264 setup.

atleast tell me the diff between 264/264, 264/272, 272/264, and 272/272

Daily driver? Drag race? AutoX? What kind of driving do you do?

For Daily driver stock turbo either 264's or 272/264 work good.

For Daily Driver / Drag Car with race gas the 264/272 combo works good on pump gas I would go 272/264 for better low end torque.

272's are for drag racing high end power and plan to upgrade to bigger turbo in the future.

Hope that Helps

I have 264i/272e cams, and look at my numbers. I still get a nice horsepower figure, while keeping a very strong torque curve. Veeeerrry nice for street driving..besides, whats horsepower without some torque?!
