Tranny HOT

OK yesterday I took my Evo to a DIY lift to change all my fluids. This will be the second time that ive done this.

We did my buddys Evo first and everything went smooth. Next up was mine. I did the rear TC and AYC first cause its the hardest. Then when I got up the the front to do the tranny and TC they were still very warm. I understand that they are connected to the motor and will be warm, but how warm is warm. I car had been sitting for over and hour. When I pulled the drain plug on the tranny it was very furry. About as much as it was last year when I changed it. I ran my fingers through the oil as it came out and it didnt feel gritty. Anyway just wondering if this is normal.
