05 Clutch Installation

Does anyone know what the difference in the clutch install is over the older model (03-04) EVO's. I am referring to something about the ACD needing to be resynchronized with a specialized Mitsubishi Tool. Can anyone confirm or deny this information for me, and tell me about your experiences with the clutch installation. Thanks in advance.

Jeremiah

There is a special tool that Mitsu uses to bleed the ACD. Supposedly, without doing this, it throws off the entire dynamics of the clutch system. Since I haven't seen it or done it firsthand, I suggest you talk to Mike at RRE (Mike W), because I know they have done many 05 clutch installs, and I believe they charge a little extra because of this factor.

I am glad I am not the only one who looking for this information, I have talked to a few people and no one could tell me for sure. Even the 05 owners manual that is going around doesn't have anything in about the clutch assembly.

The ACD line needs to get bled. RRE charges 50 bucks for this. Pretty reasonable.

Is there somewhere online that tells you how to do this and also refill it, and are these the only differences between the 2?
