My one complaint so far is that it cranks and fires batch fire, and switches to sequential post start. this will be changed on the new 3.0 ver. sched. SEMA release.
This meens that when youre turning the car on, it has to crank a couple extra times.
ours cranks about 4 times, then fires. not so bad

otherwise factory.
fan comes on at ~88c turns off at 84c, never goes above even in Phoenix.

which accs. were you most interested in?
Does the Hydra has a website? Who makes it?

Ya know, I'd be interesting in purchasing one if all the spare inputs, outputs, and maps can be left enabled.. PM me if you can do that.. Oh and definitely closed loop AFR control. FWIW I use a GM Boost solenoid instead of the stock one with the stock wiring..

yep, for $1450 all options are enabled. the closed loop tuning "autotune" and L2H2 wideband sensor are an additional $290.

the factory boost solenoid can be used, but the GM solenoid is much better and can be used with the factory wiring, as mentioned above.

for obdII inspection, the factory ecu and MAF will have to be installed and removed once the inspection is completed.
in fact, we've actually left the factory ECU in our car, just unplugged the harness.

we are also working on a complete plug and play for the Honda obd1
something we would like to offer our Honda guys as well.

we feel that this will be the tuning solution for the EVO's very soon.

should be able to get our car on the dyno with the factory turbo for a before PeakBoost GT turbosystem baseline #, by monday.
should have the GT system on the R&D car by 2 weeks and have some real #'s to post with the PeakBoost GT system on the Hydra tune.

in the meen time, let me know if there are any questions you guys need answered regarding this or the PeakBoost GT system.

Ken

dont think im an *** or anything but whats the good and bad about this. like why not go with aem or utec. aem is know to be good and same as utec just little bit diff in ways. so why should this one be any better or whats the ups that other systems do not have.

No worries, I'm glad that you asked.

I have used many AEM ems boxes and feel that the Hydra is much more user friendly. Not that the AEM is not a good box, i do like it.

Also, the AEM fuel and spark maps are only 17x22 resolution.
-The Hydra offers 32x32 resolution... Also, the Hydra allows you to scale down the maps to 16x16 for intial tuning, then scale them up to 32x32 and interpolate.
Also, the Hydra offers 3 user switchable spark and fuel maps (pump gas, race gas, anti-lag...)

As for the UTEC, im sorry but I can honestly say i personally have never used one. But, we work very closely with the guys at KingPin and they use them pretty regularly with great success. I would rather not comment on a system I personally haven't used.

hope this helps
