Hey ..

Car did great, its def going to be a monster at the track. He is using the aem for boost, electronic boost controlers, hit the boost you want to run and stay there. So there isnt a spike up that you get with a manual. I couldnt believe actually what the car made on pump at 21psi ... A true 21 psi ..that is. I was impressed by his car and i've tuned alot. Great job by ams for the motor and rnr

Good luck with it

Hey Tracy, kinda off topic, but your avatar says 424 all wheel tq. what is that sopposed to mean? as an example, if that is your torque in lb-ft seen at the wheels, i think you need a new engine, because i would expect multple times that at the wheel. sorry to get all scientific and all, but 424 is the torque at the crank before gearing, and its usually good to list it as lb-ft or Nm, whichever you prefer. it just sounds funny saying "i have 424 all wheel torque man!!". 424 lb-ft of torque seen at the wheels would barely move your car just helping a fellow evo fan from sounding like a ricer.

Yes, I second this request and would love to see the dyno chart.

Also, can you post from your EMS logs by RPM your boost levels & in what gear?

There is another thread in which this information would be very helpful for with this set-up.

i took a ride in a AMS car with ALL the same mods as the SRvidz Evo (2.3 gt35r @32psi) and it was the fastests spooling turbo for its size i've ever felt and seen. full boost by just over 3800 rpm's! unbelieveable how much the 2.3 compliments the GT35R....

By pump gas I mean 93 oct because I live in NY. I am still working on getting the dyno graph scanned (unfortunately I don't have a scanner and I am trying to get ahold of one of my friends that does). In order to get the accurate rpm that I reach peak boost I am going to have to go into the ems and check them out I am still trying to learn as I go along but I will get them up here. It feels like it is around 3000 rpm on pump @ 21psi. I definitely like the combination of the stroker with the GT35R.

In the spring I am going to get the alky kit from AMS and a 5 bar map sensor and then we will see what she can really do

to be honest i am suprised you didn't make more power... also i am suprised your tq isn't closer to your hp than the standard 100 difference with the 2.0L

i am not downing your car or buildup ....looks great and you will surely be able to make more power shortly with more boost as where i need to build my motor and head before i go further... my setup is on pump gas and meth injection

Alright I decided to just take a digital pic of the dynograph. I am really happy with the way everything turned out. Let me know what you think of the finish product. Thanks

You can't even come close to comparing numbers. You run meth injections, totally different story, two different dynos, two different engine setups.

Thank you. I think the effect that methanol injection has on a tune is sometimes on some people when they start making "apples to oranges" comparisons.

What I'd really like to see is a timing map from each tune.

that may be true. I have SAE corrected awd dynojet figures ( i think thats what these are) additionally the fact that i run methonal doesn't have much to do with adding timing . I am still running a timing curve not unreasonable for pump gas. most points aren' over 15 degrees (it might be 17 degrees at one spot, keeping in mind that when i got this car with the 50 trim turbo the TT tune had 93 octane timig at 17 degrees). The biggest diff from my understanding between pump gas and pump gas with meth is the fact that you can run it leaner to some extent . BUT i still run 11.2-11.5 a/f's for safetly of the stock overworked motor. IF i ran race gas like him with no care about my motor i surely could have made way more power . Thats my opinion and only point. I was just thinking that there might be something holding the power back is all. If i had a issue or someone thought i might i would like to hear about it.
I of all people realize that there are may deciding factors. i just thought there might be more to the story. I already told him congrats on the power and wasn't doggin it! that is a LOT of power and as you can see by me will net him 130trap speeds and 10s (if he can drive, which i clearly can't ....haha).
