Turbotrix vs. Precision Dyno Tunning? Inputs please!!

Need some quality feedback guys!

Hi everybody, Sergio here, from Colorado Springs, Colorado. I'll be attending school in the Baltimore/Metro DC area for about 2 months starting next month, and I already made up my mind about taking my brand new 05 Evo to Turbotrix for a custom reflash and installation of several parts that I recently purchased such cams, walbro fp, headers, IC pipes, on and on and on.... TT's reputation is nothing but kudos and thumbs up no matter where I look or what I hear. However, my best friend Carlos (fromWRX toEVO) just told me about a guy that basically got almost 50 more awhp with the PD tunning over the TT one. Same mods. (???)
I will like to hear from Evo owners that had their rides tweaked by both tunners, their experiences, dyno numbers, etc...

One last question: I just ordered the Buddy Club 264i/272e cams; I'm aiming for driveability, steady/quiet idle, improved turbo spool and better high end. Since the stock intake cams are bigger than the exhaust ones, is the 272i/264e combo a better compromise? I can still change my order.

Thanks Evoaddicts!

Sergio, I spoke with Carlos last night about his suggestions to go with turbotrix. i did not understand his reasons for suggesting turbotrix when he has had no experience with them. I have had both and you would be a fool not to go with Precision Dyno. Their work is second to none and their customer service outperforms the majority. Trust me on this, go with Nick at Precision Dyno. You will ultimately be much happier with your decision and you car will be much happier as well. Precision Dyno all the way.

Sergio,

This is Carlos(your best friend), contact XIAONI420, he had his car tuned by both turbotrix first then Precission Dyno. He laso have both dynos available(I think)

I really don't want to make a comment publicly in a forum because I think it would be very unfair for the vendors/tuners , all that I can say is that the 45whp / 50lbtq that one shop made over the other(competitor) could be based on many factors.

The thing is what I told you this morning over the phone, some tuners aim for more power(bragging rights) while others aim for a safer and more reliable tunning.

If I am not mistaking Dynoflash and Vishnu have a reputation of reliability and they care more about not having to deal with the bad fame of people breaking their cars for excesive and aggressive power.

So again, please, lets hear from the people that had experiences with TT and Precission Dyno. Sergio is taking his car to the local area and really need your inputs.

Thanks!!

Thanxs Nick,

this is the input that I was waiting for. I just visited the PD web site but is still under construction. I will email them tomorrow ASAP.

Cheers!

Hey Carlos, you almost became Sergio's worst friend by asking him to go to TT

Thanks Carlitos,

Did I forgot to say that this is going to be my daily driver for the next 4-5 years? Therefore I'm looking for reliability and driveability. I'm not trying to build a 500 awhp monster...350 will do the job, and its perfectly achievable with just average bolt-ons.

Thanks everyone for all your quick inputs. This is a great forum! love it!
